Hello Beauties,

About a month ago I went to m&m world in Leicester square…. And can I say it’s amaaaazing!!!!

I’ve never been to one, so for me I was like this over excited child.

It’s just so colourful and alive.

Everything you can possibly imagine is covered on 4floors (or was it 3 floors…..) in this crazy m&m world….. You walk in and literally you are in this world of m&m…… Everything single thing is m&m!!!!

Even things you can’t think off… Well m&m world thought of it and put an m&m on it lol.
There’s so many fun things to buy…. Seriously I wanted everything.
It makes you want to buy everything!!
I found myself picking up so many things!!

The only thing I was disappointed about was a lack of some sort of dessert area. To be honest I actually went because I thought there would be some sort of fun m&m world dessert place!!!
Before i went, I actually imagined amazing m&m cakes and ice creams and shakes and waffles…. Anything sweet!!!!
They could’ve made a really cool m&m dessert area
I ate out that evening and we didn’t buy dessert from the restaurant because we actually said let’s go m&m world as we really thought there MUST be a dessert place!!! What a shame

Haggan daaz next door was too busy so we missed out on dessert all together booooooohooooo

Anyhoo…… In all my excitement, I managed to take tons of pictures…..

I loved how they put a big red bus in the entrance!! Very British!

By the way these pictures do NOT amount to how much they actually have!!! There are so many other things I did not capture!
Pjs, USB sticks, playing cards, more cutlery, bags, purses….. Oh and so much more. Everything you can imagine….well m&m covered it!

Go get yourself a Cosmopolitan magazine if you enjoy a freebie!!

Cosmopolitan are offering readers a free set of eylure super-glam lashes.

Initially when I saw this as a freebie, I wasn’t too interested…. Kinda just disregarded it…..
It was only when I ‘bumped’ into miss cosmo a few days ago where I decided actually what the hell…. I do love eyelashes so why not!! I get a freebie and a glossy mag.

I think the reason I disregarded them was because they didn’t look as full as I normally like….. But as I looked closely, I noticed they are actually quite nice. They aren’t as thick as the ones I go for ……but the length is there and I think they would look nice once on.
And to be fair….. Eyelashes ALWAYS make a difference!! Thin or thick!

The mag is £3.50 and you get yourself eyelashes worth £5.
I picked up the smaller “pocket-size” one….. I prefer how the smaller one feels in my hands….. Weird or normal?!!

I have blogged about freebies in mags before….. And I have admitted that I am a sucker for freebies with mags.. So really I shouldve known I wouldn’t be able to ignore this one for too long!
I’m weak I know!!

I also noticed that Marie Clare are giving away a choice of 2 nail polishes….. I didn’t really like the deep plum/purple they had and wanted the other colour they were showing…. However the shop only had the dark colour boohoo
Maybe next time I’m strolling around I might myself finding the other colour!!

Anyhoo, here are the lashes that come with cosmo

On a nails note…. I have been sporting the classic White tip look.
Don’t get me wrong… I loveeee colour… I can never have enough of it…. But I just fancied a change because I found myself changing my nails literally every other day!!
I became somewhat dissatisfied… And to be honest I’ve really enjoyed having White tips….. It’s so refreshing and makes my hands feel so lady like!!

There are so many times we fall back and not realise the advantages and positive aspects we may have in our lives.

I’ve said this before and will say it again….. We all fall into the trap of being ungrateful and not appreciating what we have……
It’s the smallest things that can make a difference in our lives.

Having this app on my iPhone now means I can share with you my weekly/monthly happinesses a lot more…

So many things have changed in my life recently…… In particular the last 3 weeks!!!
For those of you who know me will know how surreal I feel right now…

God really does plan your life for you in the best possible way…… You could be waiting for something for years…..genuinely thinking that things may never improve……. And then all of a sudden you given what you have been wanting……
Not only that…. Everything happens at the same time…… (in my experience anyway!!

I pray that good times are ahead (inshallah) god willing.

It’s been a sad week what with all the riots. I cannot believe how far it has gone. Madness.

My heart goes to those who have lost their homes, businesses and loved ones.
Some people have nothing better to do…. And it angers me how things have been dealt. There are better ways to deal with things you may be angry about…… Violence is definitely not the answer…. Especially not when innocent lives are involved.

About a month back (a long time I know!) I was very kindly invited to Umberto Giannini’s Painted Lady event.

Umberto Giannini has launched their first ever make-up range, which will be available to buy in September 2011.

They have created a hair and make-up range together which is a brilliant idea as it allows people to buy gift sets which include both hair and makeup – something we all need! We can’t have one or the other… a completed look includes both hair and makeup.

the event was layed out in a really cool way… all the hair and make-up products were layed out on a massive canvas and had these pretend empty paint pots everywhere!  Everything was kinda scattered around and all in relation to paint… very cool indeed!

Make-up is an artistry in itself and i think UG presented this perfectly.

I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of colour range but I had a vague idea. I expected the products to collaborate with the Glam range and I was more or less right. The packaging is the same as the Glam range which I absolutely LOVE! The packaging is one of the reasons as to what attracted me to buying the hair range in the first place….. The products itself spoke for themselves.

UG Glam hair range is a consistent range in my cupboard… I have fallen in love with them and whether I use them every day or not it matters not; I will still buy a bottle of something runs out. My absolute favourite is the morning after dry shampoo which I have blogged about in the past. My hair is dyed jet black, so I need a dry shampoo to be totally invisible… no white, flaky residues!   This dry shampoo does exactly that – totally invisible and smells great too. Anyhoo, onto to the makeup.

There was a model who was being ‘painted on’ lol and looked so cool. I tried to capture pictures in its truest form so you could see all the colours… but my camera decided to ignore me… so here are the ones I took! She really does look like ‘the painted lady’!! Love the big hair and very artistic makeup… she honestly looked like a mannequin just sat there!

There are a range of products they have. Something that caught my eye in particular was their new eye liner. It’s a pen one – similar nozzle to macs penultimate eye liner ….. I love eye liners and cannot live without my black ones so this was something I immediately picked up. Good tip and the consistency seemed nice. I only tried it out on my hand and I really wanted one to try on my eyes but they only had one :( boo hoo No doubt I will be buying one when they arrive in stores!

They have a few Christmas kits which look really fun – a perfect gift to give anyone as it has such a variety of products inside – a bit of everything.

One of the Christmas gift sets is in this metal box which comes in a little bag. Ok so the metal box is so damn cute as it is…. something you can use to store little items in your room. It has the UG lady on the front which I love too……. but even better, the bag it comes in is even cuter! It has this padding all over it and two fluffy pom poms at the top – and looks like a laptop bag. I actually need a laptop bag and this one can fit a laptop in perfectly! I without doubt will be getting one of the gift sets.

For those of you who know me, know that I am a LOVER and yes a sucker for nail polish… I can never have enough……. never. In this range I noticed a little nail polish amongst the other items. Obviously I was going to grab this to have a closer look! It’s a deep midnight blue. Looks lovely and will obviously buying it once it is available to purchase!  This is the only picture I seem to have of the nail polish   I am so sure I picked it up and took a close up…. but I seemed to have lost it….

Also available to buy in this range is eyelashes called ‘flutter lashes’…. very dramatic, and once again something will definitely be purchasing as nothing completes a night out like eyelashes does.

There is one eye shadow pot and one palette. The eye shadow pot is called ‘smokey glamour eyes’ and it is exactly what says on the tin. There is a duo of colours in side – a dark grey and a slightly more light grey. They have a little bit of glitter in them which I like. I don’t like chunky glitter but these have tiny specks of glitter which will reflect nicely once on the eye. Both of these colours can be used to achieve a smokey eye. I did not expect the colours to be as pigmented as they were… one swipe and my finger had intense colour on it – something we all appreciate in eye shadows! There is nothing worse than having to keep reapplying your brush into an eye shadow until you get the desired colour. You don’t have that problem with this one. The palette is called ‘darkly smouldering eye and lip colours for grunge glamour’. Cool names hey?!

The packaging of this is bloody fantastic. It is slick black and has that iconic glam girl on the front…. and the quality of the palette is nice as well. Is it just me or does anyone else like the feel of a eye shadow palette? I like opening it and like to see how it feels in my hand. Inside has a selection of eye shadow and lip colours, a brush and a mirror….which is handy!!

There is a total of four eye shadows – each as a duo. So really you get 8 colours. The duos are carefully put together so you can use them together; they complement each other really nice.  I can’t choose a favourite as I think they are all gorgeous as each other.

They have four lip colours. Now when I looked at them, I did not think they were lipsticks! I don’t know why I didn’t think they were and to be honest I don’t even know what I thought they may be…… maybe I just thought they were eye shadows, but shiny ones lol! The first one is this white-ish colour which looks like it could look like glitter on your lips. I wasn’t sure how I felt about this one….however, once applied it smoothes out to a lip-gloss finish which I quite liked. The glitter just gives a sheen to it…. not big fat chunky glitters which I initially thought it would do!

The lipsticks don’t really smell of anything, which for me was a slight disappointment because I like my lipsticks to smell nice. But then again, the smell needs to be right – can’t be sweet and sickly…. so maybe UG creating a totally non-smelling lipstick was a good move! Nonetheless, the colours are pretty and intense which has a thumbs up from me! The second one has to be my favourite; it’s a lightish nudey pink. The last two are gorgeous colours and once again extremely pigmented… but these are not colours I would normally use on myself. On others I can imagine them to look lovely. I’m not brave enough to rock a dark lip!! I always do nude or extremely bright lips!

I love smokey eyes – the more dramatic the better, which is why I really do like this range. Don’t get me wrong, I do support the natural look on days, but when I go out I love the dramatic smokey look.

This is a nice starter up range for Umberto Giannini. It kind of covers everything you need when getting dolled out. You have all your eye colours, lipsticks, eyelashes, eyeliner, nail polish…. and some nail sticker designs which I’m sure I saw. Don’t quote me on this…. it was quite some time back I went and I’m soooo sure they had these little nail sticker things which looked pretty cool.

The only thing they don’t have is blush :( boo hooo ……… I loveeee blush so it would’ve been perfect if they had a blusher colour or even a highlighter blush in the range… for me, that would’ve completed it! I am pretty confident they will do well in this range, as there is othing not to like…. It more or less covers evetryhing you need. Even if you don’t like the items, it makes a brilliant gift to give something. I don’t know how much they will retail at as I left my price list at the event!! But from what I remembered it was affordable. Its at a nice price for all the things you get. And like I mentioned before the boxes they come in are really versatile… I assure you that you will use them in your room or find a place in your house for them!

I got given a little goodey bag which I was NOT expecting and oh so very excited about!! The reason I am so excited about it because I was actually looking for a travel dry shampoo a few months back and I could only find batiste… I bought it anyway because I really wanted a mini one…. although I have never used it because I don’t like batiste! In my goody bag was a mini dry shampoo!!!! I am so so so glad they will be selling these mini ones… it’s something I have really been wanting. Also in my goodey bag is: the eye shadow palette :)  the single eye shadow and three mini glam hair sprays – rock’n’roll extreme hairspray, morning after dry shampoo and backcomb in a bottle – another absolute favourite of mine!!!

Yes its me!!! Its been a LONG time…. But I am BACK!

I have been all over the place these last couple of months… and no word of a lie, this blog has constantly been at the back of my mind.  I always told myself… do the blog …do the blog… but I just never got the time.. And I didn’t want to do a blog for the ‘sake of it’….

I really enjoy blogging and knew I had been slacking and couldn’t do one just for the purpose of putting my mind at peace.

I know I said this last time… but I really am going to fit more time in with my blogs.  I really find this therapeutic, regardless of  whether I get people reading them or not, I like the fact that I have my own personal space on the internet that I can come and share fun aspects of my life!

Ok…. I seriously feel like there is so much to catch up on!  I don’t even know where to start…… the good thing I guess is my passion for taking photos at every opportunity.  For that reason, I will be breaking up my blogs into separate blog posts… rather than just one big mahusive post because I know how much we loveee to read..

I have had a good few photoshoots recently and my website is officially being designed.  This is long overdue and is something which was meant to be done a long time ago, but since my studio launch I wanted to focus on building on my portfolio and get as many photoshoots in as possible.  There is nothing worse than a website being designed and having very little content…. I like content!!  There needs to be a nice amount of pictures.

I have been all over the place recently… and my blogging has been somewhat neglected

There are so many products I want to blog about… but one step at a time

Lets start on my most recent news which was my launch.  It went fabulous and I want to thank all the lovely people who came and took the time out to help me out where needed.  I am glad everyone who came got to see my new achievement… although I did get told it looks like a “doss place” LOL!  I guess having couches and a big arse flat screen doesn’t help ha ha!  I wanted this place to be as cosy as possible for all my lovely visitors…. and of course on the days I am  a bit bored… or just want a few girlies over it, is perrrfect for us to watch dvds

I have also got all my studio lights up now… so will be doing loads of photoshoots this month…. Anyone who is interested in modelling or just wants to come along for a fun day of a makeup party and shoots let me know and we can arrange this

I will do my own photoshoots now that I have my full photography kit now… however every so often I will be teaming with my very good friend who I find an AMAZING photographer.  And no im not just saying this because he is a friend… I really do believe he is fantastic at what he does.  For all of you wanting a professional photographer for whatever event, his website is www.nirajpopat.com check him out!!

Being so busy setting this up has not allowed me to do my weekly smiles blog which I intended to do every week…. So for that reason my next blog will be my monthly smiles… as I have been taking pcitures the last couple months of things that have made me smile.

I am so sorry….Its been a long time since my last post I know!

This is just a quick update to tell you my recent news.

L’Chic Beauty now has its own Studio/Boutique

My new premises is where I will, not only be providing consultations, makeup trials, makeovers, make-up parties etc but I will also be doing my own photoshoots and making the most of my new professional lights and photography studio kit.

There is SO much I will be doing here for me and all you beauties.  This is just the start!

I will be blogging a lot more now.. but for now I shall leave it as this.

I have been so busy setting this all up…but now I am officially back on track
